Lafayette vs. vs. William & Mary

EASTON, Pa. (9/14/13) William & Mary scored 27 first-half points en route to a 34-6 victory over Lafayette. The Leopards fell behind big early in the first half in large part due to several offensive miscues. The Tribe defenders intercepted Zach Zweizig twice in the half and returned both of them for touchdowns. Tribe linebacker, Marcus Harvey, intercepted a shovel pass from Zweizig and returned it 29 yards for the score. Later in the half, weizig threw a pass intended for fullback Pat Creahan only to have it picked off by Tribe defender, Airek Green, who returned it 25 yards for the William & Mary 20-0 lead.
Lafayette had trouble getting anything going offensively and could only muster up two Ryan Gralish field goals on the day. He made one right before intermission to cap off a 50-yard drive in only 33 seconds and he added one later in the third quarter for the only offense.
William and Mary outrushed the Leopards 217 to 66. Zweizig was able to complete 31 of his 47 passes for 239 yards in the air in the losing effort. While Mark Ross saw his streak of four consecutive games with at least 100 receiving yards snapped as he finished with five catches for 68 yards.
