Lafayette vs. Columbia

Four different Lafayette running backs scored touchdowns as the Leopards improved to 4-1 with a 29-0 shutout of Columbia at Fisher Stadium. The offense rolled up 372 yards of offense while the defense held the Lions to -13 rushing yards and just 193 passing yards. Andy Romans had a team-high 13 tackles, including three for a loss of 17 yards, and two sacks in a performance that earned him Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors. In the third quarter, Adrian Lawson intercepted a pass and ran it back 40 yards. Romans and sacked Columbia's quarterback and Poulson recovered the ball to set Joe Russo up to score the team's third touchdown of the game. Morrow gave the Leopards their last score on a 14-yard run that widened the margin 29-0. Marvin Clecidor picked off his second pass of the season in the fourth quarter to end Columbia's final drive and seal the Lafayette victory.
