NEW & IMPROVED QUALITY!
Lafayette at Columbia
October 11, 2008
The Lafayette defense held Columbia to just three points, the fewest the Leopards have surrendered in 2008, while grinding out a 13-3 win at Wien Stadium. Once again the Lafayette defense was superb, only allowing 30 yards on the ground and a lone field goal on the scoreboard. Andy Romans led the defense with 15 tackles which once again garnered him Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row. Tailback DeAndre_ Morrow bullied his way into the endzone from seven yards out giving the Leopards a 10-0 lead with 7:06 left in the half. Davis Rodriguez connected on two of three field goal attempts including a career-long kick of 46 yards, to secure the 10-point win. With the victory the Leopards improved to 4-1 on the season.
