Lafayette vs. Georgetown
September 8, 2007
Despite intense heat that led to severe cramping for many of Lafayette's players, the Leopards pulled out a 28-7 victory on their first road game of the season at Georgetown. Junior Maurice White ran for 87 yards and scored two touchdowns on runs of four and 21 yards. Junior Shaun Adair put the Leopards on the board four minutes into the game with an 11-yard touchdown catch from senior Mike DiPaola. Senior Marcel Quarterman kept the Hoyas from scoring in the fourth quarter by intercepting a pass at the Georgetown 34-yard line and returning it for a touchdown, the first of his career. The Hoyas were able to avoid a shutout when the scored on an eight-yard touchdown run with four minutes in the game, but the Leopards had already won the game. Junior Andy Romans led the defense with 11 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, while sophomore Ian Dell recorded his first career sack.
