Lafayette at Yale
October 3, 2009
Lafayette turned a three-point halftime lead into a 31-14 win over Yale. Rob Curley threw for 241 yards and two TD's, both to Mark Layton, and Maurice White ran for 131 yards and a touchdown. The series victory, the first ever vs. Yale, had an inauspicious start, as the Leopards fumbled the opening kick to set up a Yale score. Lafayette led 10-7 at halftime and dominated the second half, scoring on a six-yard run by Greg Stripe, a four-yard pass from Curley to Layton and a six-yard scoring scamper by White. The Lafayette defense sacked Yale six times, including two apiece by Ian Dell and Andrew Poulson.
Final Score: Lafayette 31, Yale 14
