EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette put together an 11-0 run in the final four minutes of the regulation to send the game to overtime. The Leopards were outscored 13-8 in the extra five-minute period as Bucknell held on for a 74-69 win. Bucknell led 68-65 with 2:10 left in overtime before Jim Mower_s steal and fast-break dunk pulled Lafayette within one. Enoch Andoh_s four-foot jumper with 1:07 left handed the Bison a 70-67 lead. On the ensuing possession Rob Delaney_s three-pointer rimmed out. Ryan Willen got the offensive rebound and was fouled, going to the line where he made a pair. Bucknell led 70-69 with 39 ticks left. Lafayette immediately fouled Daryl Shazier with 30 seconds and he missed both attempts. The Leopards went inside to Jared Mintz . Mintz was bumped in the paint by two defenders and turned over the ball. The Leopards were forced to foul Shazier twice more and he converted all four free throws as Bucknell slipped away with a win. In the final minutes of the second half, Mintz made four shots from the line along with two from Willen with 2:01 left on the clock. Bucknell led 61-58. Mower converted a three-point play on a layup and tied the game at 61. Bucknell_s Mike Muscala (10 points) went to the line for two shots with 47 seconds left. He missed both. Mintz_s jumper with 27 seconds remaining wouldn_t fall nor would Bryson Johnson_s three-point heave with three seconds left as the game went to OT.
