Lafayette had four players score in double digits led by Emily Homan_s 17 points. Sophomore Jamie O_Hare knocked down a quartet of threes en route to 14 points, while Linnel Macklin registered 12 points and Maddie Peabody racked up 10 points. Freshman Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby made the most of her first career start with eight points and 10 boards.
Macklin sparked the Leopard offense scoring eight of Lafayette_s first 13 points. A 50 percent first half shooting effort powered the Maroon and White to a nine-point lead at the break. Colgate got off to a quick start in the second half only to see the Leopards answer with a nine-point spurt midway through the half, capped by a triple from O_Hare, to take control and defeat the Raiders 81-70.
