DetailsEASTON, PA _ The Leopards moved to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot League when they dropped Loyola, 65-53, en route to their second consecutive win.
A season-high 49.1 percent shooting night powered the balanced Leopard offense. Junior forward Emily Homan led the 12 Lafayette scorers with 11 points. Kristan Liddle added a season-high six, while Brya Freeland dished out a season-best six dimes. Senior Danielle Fiacco pulled within three of the all-time lead in blocks in the Patriot League.
The Maroon and White came out firing on all cylinders as Homan and Liddle converted on a pair of buckets to open the game. Kelly Loughney powered a 7-2 spurt helping Lafayette take a nine point lead to the break. A 6-2 run opened the second half, as the Leopards led by as many as 19 on their way to a 65-53 win.
